Mr. Alvarez - MS/HS Bible & Spanish

Hello Hillsboro Christian Academy Family,

My name is Guillermo Alvarez, and I serve as a High School Bible and Spanish Teacher at HCA. This is my third year teaching at the academy. I was born in Mexico and raised in California, experiences that have greatly shaped my faith, worldview, and love for language and ministry.

In addition to teaching, I am blessed to serve as the Preaching Minister for the Northside church of Christ here in Hillsboro. I have been preaching the gospel for almost 25 years and have had the privilege of sharing God’s Word throughout the United States—including California, Oregon, Washington, Nevada, Arizona, Texas, Indiana, and Ohio—as well as in several Spanish-speaking countries such as Mexico, Guatemala, Nicaragua, the Dominican Republic, and Ecuador.

I consider it a true honor to teach the most important book ever given to humanity—the Bible—and to help our students discover the beauty and value of learning a second language, Spanish.
