I just tried a new recipe for a soft dough for playing. It was simple and cheap. I used 1/3 cup of cornstarch and 1/3 cup of cheap hair conditioner. Mix these 2 things together in a large bowl. Keep mixing and once everything blended add more cornstarch until the dough is soft and smooth and not sticky. You can add food coloring of your choice. It can be kept and reused in a plastic bag or container. If it gets too dry just add some more conditioner. I picked strawberry conditioner and the dough smells yummy. The cornstarch was 1.50 at Kroger and the conditioner was a $1 made the dough with plenty left over.
