We still need parents to return Ed-Choice voucher renewals ASAP. Also, if you know of anyone with children going into K-5th grade next year that might qualify for a voucher and would be interested in attending, please have them call or come into the office to get paperwork.
We still have tickets in the office for a chance to receive a $1000 Gift Card Basket. You can pick them up or we can send them home with your child. Also, one of our HCA families will receive either a free scholarship or free lunches and a $500 apparel package for next year. Please call the office if you have any questions. We will pick the names of the gift card winners at our Annual Pledge Dinner on March 29th.
Spring craft bazaar is coming up on March 10th. We are still accepting vendors. If you or anyone you know would be interested in setting up please call the office at 393-8422. If you would like to reserve a spot for one or both please call the office at 393-8422.
This year we will be doing something different with our Silent Auction. Instead of asking each family to bring in an item for each of their children, we are asking that each family donate $3-$5 to go towards silent auction baskets. That money can be given to the office.
Please make sure to always notify the office if there will be any change in the pick-up of your children after school.
Mid-term reports went Home today.

Snow in the Parking Lot - The school board has decided not to have the parking lot cleared of the snow when it snows. We want to try to keep any damage to the gravel base from happening. We also feel like it is probably safer to walk in snow than on ice. We will keep the sidewalks and that concrete parking area cleaned off - so when you bring your children to school, you can drop them off in an area that has been cleared. Please be careful.
All families are encouraged to sign up on Renweb. It is a great way to keep up on student academic information.
The time of year has come when lots of sickness is making its way around our school. Please know that your child must be fever-free for 24 hours WITHOUT medicine before they will be allowed to return to school.
The office is in need of a few items for anyone who would like to donate: Jr strength Tylenol (chewables only) - tums - cough drops - aspirin - Vaseline
Now is the time of year for lice to be going around. Please check your children regularly.
School dress code : Please know that some of our students are pinning HCA patches to their regular clothing thinking that this is accepted school dress. It is not allowed and they will be written up for dress code violation if they continue to do so.
Elementary - If elementary students arrive before 8am they are to go to the gym and will be dismissed to their classrooms from there. They cannot stand outside their classrooms.
We offer aftercare from 3:30 - 5:00pm. Cost is $2.50 per child from 3:30-4:00pm, $5 per child from 4-5pm. If you pick your child up after 5:00pm it will be an additional $2.50. If you leave your child(ren) in aftercare, please send a snack.
All MS and HS students who arrive after 8:10am must enter through the main door instead of through the gym.
When you come to pick up your after school please do not pull up near the porch in front of the gym. We have to leave room for the buses to get through. Also, if you send someone else to pick up your child make sure to let them know.
We offer breakfast for sale in the lunchroom from 8-8:15am in the lunchroom. Everything is $1 and under.
Some of our younger students who pack their lunch are complaining that they aren't getting enough to eat. Please make sure to send them plenty for their lunch.
If at all possible we ask that parents not come in and sign students out early. It is very disruptive to the classrooms. Obviously we completely understand that sometimes it can't be helped.
